To be eligible for getting direct admission in VIT Vellore, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• The candidate belonging to the general category must have cleared their class 12 board examination or equivalent with a minimum aggregate percentage of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.

*Candidate belonging to SC/ST hailing from Jammu & Kashmir/ Ladakh and the Northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura, scoring to 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology is required.

• The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects in their class 12 board examination.

• Applicants whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2002 are eligible to apply for direct admission in VIT Vellore.

• Applicant should be a Resident/Non-Resident Indian National/ROI. However, NRI applicants can directly apply under the “NRI category” through the application form. Similarly foreign applicants who studied or studying abroad can apply directly through an international application form.
